John joined Trowbridge Rugby Club during the late 1960’s as a teenager.
It did not take long for his talents in the back row to be recognised as he soon became a regular in the 1st XV playing at No 8 for many years, and went on to captain the club in 1974.

Trowbridge RFC sends its deepest condolences to his wife Glenda and his family.
