It is with the deepest of regret that we learned this week that Neil died suddenly last Friday.
Neil was our oldest Vice President and was seemingly well until very recently. He had in fact confirmed 3 weeks ago that he would be attending tomorrow's VP luncheon, and was very much looking forward to meeting up with everyone again and regaling those who would listen to stories about the old Green Lane days and the boiler he "acquired"...........
I bumped into Mac in the middle of February in Union Street and he joked about his run of good fortune in winning a number of VP quarterly draws over the past 12 months - asking if I could arrange for him to win "once more"!
He was undoubtedly a true gentleman and a shrewd business man spending many years working and living in France. He was of course past President of TRFC - and very proud of the fact indeed.
Due to the suddenness of his passing, it will be a little while until the details of Neil's funeral will be announced. We will up-date this Website as soon as we become aware of any salient information.
Our thoughts are with Neil's son Stuart and family at this very sad time.
RIP - Mac.
